With the World Electronic Sports Games (WESG) South East Asia Regional Finals 2019 closing on a successful note, Mogu is delighted to announce that we are once again, one of the key sponsors for this event, celebrating the growth of esports in the region. Mogu is a smart router company that is reimagining the infrastructure of the internet, and gaming is a key aspect of our offering – Mogu’s routers have inbuilt gaming acceleration, making them a perfect fit for people that want to enjoy competitive gaming without lagging.

WESG is an international esports tournament founded by Alibaba Sports (of Alibaba Group). The 2018-19 WESG was a massive success with around 80,000 players from 137 countries taking part throughout the season. The total number of online views exceeded 380 million. The South East Asia regional finals were just held at the Quill Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur, from 31st October – 3rd November 2019.

“Being involved with WESG is exceptionally exciting for us,” says Simon Stephen at Mogu. “The online gaming community will really appreciate the gaming acceleration that Mogu’s next generation smart router offers, and at the same time we are also going to completely change the business model of the router market: users will be rewarded to use a Mogu router. Being involved with WESG is a great opportunity for us to showcase our capabilities.”

Through this, we hope to build a community for people to acknowledge the rise of gaming and esports; and how our router can benefit in terms of gaming acceleration.
